*Loving, fun and friendly place that your child will want to come to every day.
*Weekly thematic units using the Illinois Early Learning Standards guarantee a sound preschool experience. Your child will be completely ready for kindergarten with developmentally appropriate activities planned for them according to their age and skill level.
*Art projects are a major part of the curriculum. Art teaches fine motor skills, coordination, creativity, color concepts, math, social skills and spatial reasoning. Plus - it's fun!
*Infants get frequent interaction and solid naps so that more neural connections are formed, making happier and smarter kids from the start. Older children are encouraged to share experiences with younger children. This helps the older children learn compassion and helps the younger children to learn new skills.
*Nutritious meals that meet and exceed USDA young child requirements, in addition to themes that promote healthy eating.
*Outside play daily in a large fenced yard with playground or in the front using the multiple ride on toys.
Tara's Toyland is owned and operated by Nora Parkman. I have worked professionally in childcare/education since 1987. I've been married to Richard since Sept. 11, 1994. We have two daughters, Elise, who will turn 10 in August, and Tara who is 13 (in June).
We also have 2 cats, Rightie and Leftie, who are declawed and child friendly, a few fish (the number seems to be changing) and 4 small frogs. Somehow our animal count goes up each year...
